Australian Rugby League CEO Geoff Carr, ARL National Indigenous Development Program Manager Ricky Walford and Rugby League great Larry Corowa last week joined Lower Clarence Magpies President Gary Anderson in ushering in the ARL's new Tackling Domestic Violence Program.
The program, which is being run in conjunction with the NSW Government will run local campaigns aimed at reducing domestic violence and increasing awareness on the issue.
Five teams from across NSW have thrown their support behind the program.
The Tingha Tigers, Lower Clarence Magpies, Dubbo Cyms, Windsor Wolves and the Dubbo Macquarie Rangers will all bear the Tackling Domestic logo on their playing strips and will all participate in the local campaigns.
