Walford elected to Aus Day Council   

Former NSW Blues representative and the Australian Rugby League’s Indigenous Program Manager Ricky Walford has today been announced as a member of the Australia Day Council for New South Wales.

 
The Council is the premier Australia Day organisation across the nation, delivering inspirational events and programs, all of which celebrate being Australian.


Council members are chosen for their leadership, management and social skills as well as performance-based qualities.

 
Mr Walford today said his nomination ranks as one of his greatest achievements to date.

 
“It is truly an honour to be appointed to such a prestigious position,” Mr Walford said.

 
“I will do my upmost to maintain the values and principles of which the position demands.”
