It will be a new-look VB Kangaroos team that tackles France in the Gillette Four Nations match in Paris on Saturday – in more ways than one.
VB Kangaroos coach Tim Sheens has made seven changes to the side that defeated England in Wigan last weekend, while the players will also be wearing new-look jerseys in support of ‘Movember’ – a campaign to raise awareness and funds for prostate cancer research and men’s depression.
A number of VB Kangaroos players will be sporting moustaches in support of the campaign on what will be a historic occasion for skipper Darren Lockyer and prop Petero Civoniceva.
Lockyer will become the most capped Australian Test captain (28) in this match, while Civoniceva will join John Raper as the most capped Australian Test forward (39).
Centres Josh Morris and Michael Jennings will make their Test debuts for Australia.
Morris and his brother, Brett, will become the first brothers to play for the Kangaroos since Darren and Jason Smith in 1999 and the first twins since Kevin and Kerrod Walters in 1991.
The team will have a reception at the Australian Embassy in Paris tonight.
The VB Kangaroos side to play France at Charlety Stadium, Paris, starting at 3.30pm local time (2.30pm GMT) is:
1. Kurt Gidley
2. Brett Morris
